Arris rails bolted onto post. 0ur timber posts are pressure treated to the highest specification to give you every confidence against rot and insect attack, however, if you feel you don't have the confidence with the modern pressure treatment, why not think about using a concrete spur post rather than a full concrete post, retaining the aesthetics of the timber fence. Concrete spurs on a featheredge fence with morticed posts. Fence raised above ground to allow water access due to flooding problems. Spurs concreted min 30" beneath ground. Posts also concreted 30" beneath ground for added stability. The most common concrete fence post used is the 'H' post for our waneylap panel, also, the concrete fence post used for our featheredge and closeboard fence allows the arris rails to be bolted onto the post or morticed for the scarfed arris rails for a more traditional look.
